About Melika
From a young age, I excelled in mathematics and later found a passion for physics. In second grade, I independently discovered a more efficient solution to a problem, earning recognition from my teacher. By seventh grade, my advanced understanding prompted my teacher to provide me with an iPad for independent study during math and science classes. Although recommended for a gifted program in middle school, the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted this opportunity. Throughout high school, I consistently achieved high grades in math and science, with a peak of 98% in math. Additionally, I assisted my Calculus teacher in preparing homework solutions for peers. Outside academics, I enjoy learning languages. I've also completed courses in other areas such as anatomy and physiology at my institution, so my knowledge goes beyond just maths and physics. Additionally, I play the flute and the piano when I have the time.

I am a second year Physics-Mathematics Student at the University of Ottawa who graduated high school at 16 years of age. I have known that Physics and maths were my calling since I was 7. I have experience teaching my university peers physics and maths, and as the well-known Albert Einstein once said, “If you can’t explain it to a six-year-old, you don’t understand it yourself.”Mastery of both physics and mathematics heavily rely on practicing questions. High school and first-year University level physics and maths course questions are typically limited to a certain number of problem types. My teaching methodology focuses on aiding students in recognizing these problem types and tackling them systematically. Additionally, I integrate time-saving mathematical shortcuts to optimize performance during exams.
