About Fergus
I am a current PhD student in experimental particle physics. I am looking to tutor alongside my studies as I find it helpful to discuss physics at any level. I would love to continue in academia after finishing my doctorate, and therefore I think it’s important to build up experience in teaching.

I believe the best way to learn something is to truly understand what it is you are learning, and why it’s important. My teaching style is fairly relaxed - I will always treat my students as my peers rather than my subjects. I find it is more constructive to the learning process to have an open dialogue, rather than speaking at my students. I encourage students to ask any questions if they’re not sure of something.
