About Giacomo
I am an AI Master's student at Imperial College, who took Physics and Philosophy at undergraduate level. I have helped students applying for Maths, Physics, and Philosophy to get into Oxford by improving their scores in both entrance tests and interviews. I have lots of experience tutoring IB Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I have tutored in computer science at GCSE level, raising one pupil's grades from a C to an A, and helping another to achieve the top grade in the computer science olympiad. I have experience coding in Python, C#, SQL and Java.

For most exams in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, I've found the key to success to be improving pattern recognition through practice of similar questions. I approach topics by simplifying them to their fundamental principles and showing how these principles apply to questions of varying difficulty. I ensure my students put as much thought as possible into the question themselves before guiding them to an answer by suggesting approaches to the question. I have spoken to many admissions tutors to determine the characteristics that make up a successful interviewee, and I accustom my students to show off these skills in lessons. I have also accrued a bank of commonly-asked questions to ensure realistic practice.
