About Sam
I'm Sam, a 4th year Theoretical Physics student at Imperial College London. Teaching is my passion because there's nothing like seeing that moment when a student finally gets a tough concept. Their eyes light up, and it's clear they've had a breakthrough. I've been tutoring for over four years, helping students ace their exams and build confidence in subjects like Chemistry, Physics, and Maths. Beyond tutoring, I've worked as an AI Research Assistant, developing a specialised GPT tutor for future Imperial students, and presenting it at major conferences, such as the AdvanceHE 2024. I also mentor groups of students at Imperial's Global Summer School, guiding them through physics and coding projects. My experience includes leading a team to design a liquid mirror telescope and developing an optical ray tracer, showcasing my strong problem-solving skills. In addition to my academic and teaching roles, I've achieved Gold Awards in both the British Physics and UK Chemistry Olympiads and earned a Silver Certificate in the UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge. I'm also an active member of the Imperial College Persian Society, currently serving as the Social Media Officer. I love making complex topics simple and watching my students succeed, whether through one-on-one sessions or group mentoring. With a solid background in physics, AI, and teaching, I'm dedicated to helping students reach their full potential.

The structure of a typical 1-on-1 lesson is as follows: 1. We go through the notes and ALL the small details that make an A grade student an A*. 2. I do a few sample questions with you, ranging in difficulty, showing you how to tackle different types of problems. 3. Your turn: You continue practising with questions I provide, ensuring you reinforce your learning. At the end of each session (typically 1hr), a homework is attached and you're expected to send the completed homework before the next session, where I would mark and go through in session if necessary.

Sam is currently my A-level physics tutor. He has helped me significantly improve my knowledge from his exceptional ability to explain and simplify difficult concepts. He is a friendly and encouraging tutor who will support you throughout your journey of learning. His intellectual abilities and passion have provided some of the most interesting conversations, broading my knowledge on not just physics but maths and chemistry. He is undoubtedly a great tutor, and is highly recommended by myself.
An outstanding pianist and a patient teacher
He is a very talented pianist and when he sits behind the piano he sure knows what hes doing
I am currently one of Sam's students and I really enjoy his interactive lessons. I started as a beginner 6 months ago and I already feel much more confident behind the keys. I believe his specific methodology helps each individual to better understand the theory of music.
