About Sebbie
I'm a Physics graduate (MSci, University of Nottingham), where I focused on astrophysics and machine learning, including a final year project using neural networks to study distant galaxies. Since graduating I've worked as a Project Analyst in engineering, where I spend my days solving technical problems and explaining complicated information clearly to people without a technical background. I've also tutored before, working weekly for about a year with a high school senior on maths and physics, so I've seen first-hand how much of a difference consistent, patient support can make. I want to help students move past just getting the right answer to actually understanding why it's right.

My lessons focus on genuinely understanding the underlying concept first, rather than just memorising steps to get an answer. I typically start by working through the topic together, making sure the core idea actually clicks, before moving on to practice questions. We then go through those questions in detail, looking closely at what went wrong and why, so mistakes become useful rather than frustrating. Lessons usually run for an hour and are suited to GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics students who want to build real confidence, not just short-term exam tricks. My own background is a Physics MSci, so I'm comfortable going as deep as a student needs.
