About Bonolo
I'm Bonolo, originally from Botswana and currently based in Glasgow. I grew up loving maths and physics - enough to become National Physics Olympiad Champion and represent Botswana at the International Physics Olympiad in Moscow.
I went on to study Mathematical Physics at the University of Edinburgh, and I'm now finishing an MSc in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence at the University of Glasgow. Outside of my studies, I've spent the last year building an AI tutoring platform for students across Southern Africa - so education isn't just something I do professionally, it's something I'm genuinely invested in.
I want to tutor because I remember what it felt like to have a concept click after struggling with it and I know a good explanation can completely change how a student sees a subject. Maths and physics have a reputation for being intimidating - I think that's mostly a teaching problem, not a student problem. I enjoy breaking things down clearly and making the work feel less daunting.

I hold an MPhys in Mathematical Physics from the University of Edinburgh and am currently completing an MSc in Robotics & AI at the University of Glasgow. I was also National Physics Olympiad Champion for Botswana and represented the country at the International Physics Olympiad in Moscow — so physics and maths aren't just subjects I studied, they're subjects I competed in at the highest level.
My lessons are tailored to the individual. I start by diagnosing exactly what the student needs to thrive - whether that's a conceptual gap, exam technique or confidence - and build sessions around fixing that specifically. I don't teach from a script. Sessions are typically 60 minutes and run online, meaning I work with students across the UK.
I tutor Maths and Physics from GCSE through to A-level and undergraduate level, as well as Statistics, Further Maths, Data Analysis, Python programming and introductory Machine Learning for university students. I've also built a live AI tutoring platform used by hundreds of students, so I understand how people learn technical subjects and what actually moves the needle.
