About Liban
I’m a Physics PhD researcher who genuinely enjoys helping students discover that Maths and Physics are far more approachable than they can initially seem. Having benefited from excellent teachers myself, I’m passionate about passing that experience on and helping students develop both understanding and confidence. I find teaching incredibly rewarding, particularly when a difficult concept finally clicks. I want every student to feel supported, challenged and capable of achieving more than they thought possible.

I’m a Physics PhD researcher with 1,000+ hours of tutoring experience in Maths and Physics, teaching students from GCSE and A-Level through to university level. I have a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London and currently work as a researcher in neutrino physics. I use a differentiation-based teaching style, adapting explanations and lesson structure to suit each student’s ability, learning style and confidence level. I specialise in developing clear, intuitive explanations for complex mathematical and physical concepts, helping students build genuine understanding rather than relying on memorisation. I also provide structured support with problem-solving, revision planning and examination technique. Sessions are conducted online via Zoom, typically lasting one hour, with an interactive digital whiteboard used to work through concepts and problems together.
