About Kashem
My name is Shakil, and I am a Physics PhD student at Washington University in St. Louis. I hold three master’s degrees in Physics and have a strong academic background in physics, mathematics, and scientific research. I enjoy helping students understand difficult topics in a clear, patient, and step-by-step way. My teaching style is professional, supportive, and focused on building real understanding rather than memorizing formulas. I work carefully with each student’s level, goals, and learning pace so they can improve their confidence and problem-solving skills.

I teach physics, math, and general science by focusing on clear concepts first, then step-by-step problem solving. In a typical lesson, I review the student’s current topic, identify weak points, explain the core ideas with simple examples, and then guide the student through practice problems. My goal is not only to help students get the right answer, but also to help them understand why the answer makes sense. My lessons are suitable for middle school, high school, AP/IB students, college introductory physics, algebra, calculus, and students who need help building confidence in science and math.
For advanced students, I can also help with college-level physics topics such as classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, optics, modern physics, quantum mechanics, and basic programming or data analysis for science courses.
