About Mirta
I am a physicist and postdoctoral researcher with an international academic background spanning experimental particle physics, radiation oncology, radiobiology, and scientific computing. My research experience includes work at CERN within the ATLAS Collaboration, the Weizmann Institute of Science, and McGill University.
Beyond research, I am passionate about teaching and science communication. I enjoy helping students develop strong analytical thinking skills and gain confidence in complex scientific topics by breaking down difficult concepts into clear, intuitive explanations. My teaching style combines theory with practical problem-solving and adapts to each student’s background, pace, and goals.
I have experience mentoring students in physics, mathematics, scientific computing, data analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, and academic research methods. I also actively promote open science, interdisciplinary collaboration, and accessibility in scientific education through workshops, outreach initiatives, and podcasting.
My lessons are designed for high school, undergraduate, graduate, and early-career research students seeking support in physics, mathematics, programming, scientific writing, or research-related subjects. Whether the goal is exam preparation, deeper conceptual understanding, or academic growth, I aim to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students can thrive.

I offer personalized lessons designed to help students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorize formulas. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through clear explanations and practical examples adapted to each student’s level and goals.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by step-by-step explanations of new concepts and guided exercises to ensure understanding. I encourage students to ask questions freely and I adapt the pace of the lesson according to their needs. I also provide tips for studying efficiently and improving independent learning skills.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my strong scientific background and my ability to simplify complex topics in mathematics, physics, scientific computing, and research-related subjects. I aim to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and growing academically.
My lessons are suitable for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as anyone looking to strengthen their analytical and scientific skills.
