About Victoria
Hello! I’m Victoria, and I have a PhD in Physics with a specialization in astrophysics from the University of California, Davis. Throughout graduate school and beyond, I’ve taught university physics courses, led discussion sections and laboratories, and mentored students with a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels.
I know that physics and mathematics can feel intimidating, but I’ve also seen countless students succeed once they have an instructor who explains concepts clearly and patiently. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence.
Beyond teaching, I’ve worked as a research scientist and statistical analyst, using Python and advanced statistical methods to solve real-world problems. This experience allows me to connect classroom concepts to practical applications in science, engineering, and data analysis.
Whether you’re preparing for an AP exam, working through a challenging college course, or simply looking to strengthen your understanding of STEM subjects, I’m committed to helping you reach your goals. I look forward to working with you!

I believe the best way to learn physics is to understand the “why” behind every equation. Rather than memorizing formulas, my students develop the intuition and problem-solving skills needed to tackle new and challenging questions with confidence.
Each lesson begins by identifying the concepts that are causing difficulty. We then work through examples together, breaking complex problems into manageable steps before practicing similar problems independently. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and adjust my teaching style to fit each student’s learning needs and pace.
I hold a PhD in Physics with a specialization in astrophysics and have years of experience teaching university physics courses. I’ve worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds, so I know how to explain difficult concepts in multiple ways until they click.
I tutor high school, AP, and college students in Physics, Astronomy, Calculus, and introductory Statistics. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, improving your grades, or building a strong foundation for future STEM courses, my goal is to help you gain both confidence and lasting understanding—not just finish the next homework assignment.
