About Frank
I received a PhD in physics from Texas A&M University, College Station. Having worked in industry for more than 20 year, I am currently an instructor for physics courses in a college in southeastern Michigan. Teaching is my passion. I can tutor students of any background in physics and mathematics at high school and college levels.
I have been teaching various physics courses in college, some based on algebra and trigonometry, and others based on calculus. Because of my training in theoretical physics, I am good at mathematics as well, and can go in-depth into math as related to a physics topic of your interest. Beyond physics, I can tutor in a wide range of math subjects: Algebra 1 and 2, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus and Calculus, and the like. I can also help you sharpen your skills in SAT Math and ACT Math, and test-taking strategies. I am in the Eastern Time (ET) Zone and my schedule is generally flexible.

Throughout my own education, I have been a true believer and fervent practitioner in Albert Einstein's adage: "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." I'll apply this principle in teaching and tutoring with students. The key to learning is to have a clear understanding of the concepts. I'll explain them in plain English and in an easy-to-understand way, and seek their feedback to make sure that they master them. My goal is to help students grasp the subject matter in depth in least time so that they can solve problems independently and confidently.
