About Casandra
As an eager student myself, I love to be organized even before my semesters begins. I have been working as a tutor for 2 Years at my University’s tutoring center. I also work at my University’s high school program called UpWard Bound where opportunities are made for lower income families whose teenagers aren’t looking towards college. The program allows for full tuition and other scholarships to encourage high school students to attend colleges. I am a huge believer that there is no such thing as smart people, just dedication and hard work.

As a certified level2 tutor, my teaching techniques are based on brain based learning strategies, Bloom’s Taxonomy levels of learning, using probing questions, and assessments at the beginning and ending of the sessions. Lesson plans and sessions are uniquely set up for the individual student. Group sessions are available, but individual learning is preferred. I am most known for my own hands learning. I loved to be able to take a lesson or subject and turn it into a piece of material that is created by the student for hands-on tactile learning.
