About Jack
I am a Ph.D student in physics currently in the final stages of writing my thesis. I have taught multiple physics lab courses in my time as a graduate student, consisting of more than 150 successful students. Additionally, I have hosted many extracurricular study sessions for my graduate course colleagues. Finally, I have more than 5 years of direct research experience in the field of computational condensed matter physics that has resulted in 4 publications in the highly regarded Physical Review journal as well as a first place prize in a university research competition.

My teaching philosophy focuses on providing students with the tools to understand solutions rather than simply teaching a memorized procedure. Utilizing my advanced understanding of the subject, I attempt to provide the conceptual 'stepping stones' while simultaneously keeping the end goal in focus. This allows students to not only excel in the 'mechanics' of the subject but also the conceptual nature of it.
