About Nihal
I’m the leader of my school's physics team which has won the national competition and represented the United States at the international level for the past 6 years. Outside of school, I apply math and physics to my personal projects in both computer science and engineering. Fun fact: I won 10th place at the PA State Chess Championship

The key ingredient to succeed in physics is to not trust your intuition. I feel I have an intuitive way of breaking physics down into its components and building a student’s understanding from the ground up. I also like to incorporate live demonstrations (:
Whatever level you’re at, I’d love to work with you.

Nihal is the man! Looking back, I won the lottery when he was assigned to me through our school's volunteer tutor program. I've always struggled with math... in fact I used to "hate" math. Nihal made me realize that I don't hate math, I hate being confused by it. It didn't take Nihal long to notice how behind I really was. I barely passed algebra I, forgot all of it, and now I was taking algebra II (and failing). But Nihal never got upset when he realized I had forgotten something (or not paid attention the first time). He would simply go over the concept again, from scratch. It would click, and then I would actually be ready to learn the concept I was currently learning in school. Some other tutors I've had would just keep going through the current material, even when it was obvious I had no idea what they were talking about. They were just trying to get through the session, but Nihal actually cared about helping me. After a few sessions, I went from getting 20% on everything to only getting As.
