About Lea
I'm currently a first-year Physics student at Imperial College London, with a genuine passion for both Maths and Physics. I find the underlying concepts behind these subjects fascinating, and I enjoy exploring not just how to solve a problem, but why the methods work the way they do.
Having only recently finished my own GCSEs and A-Levels, I remember clearly how daunting these exams can feel, and how easy it is to get lost in content without a clear sense of direction. I hope to pass on some of my passion for these subjects, alongside the understanding and techniques that helped me succeed, so that my students feel both confident and genuinely engaged with what they're learning.

I believe in a thorough and understanding-based approach to teaching maths and physics. Rather than relying on memorised methods, I focus on building a genuine, deep understanding of the subject content, as this was the only approach that made concepts truly stick for me.
Having achieved 4 A*s at A-Level and 11 9s at GCSE, and having sat these exams recently, I have a clear sense of both the content and the way it's examined. I aim to pass on the same understanding and techniques that worked for me.
I offer 60-minute lessons teaching GCSE and A-Level Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, alongside specialised support for the PAT and ESAT admissions tests.
I will tailor my sessions to the individual based on their goals and weaknesses, with a focus on clear reasoning, strong exam technique, and long-term understanding rather than short-term recall.
