About Ryan
I have always greatly enjoyed conveying concepts to others, and I understand what it is like to have tough goals to reach. Personally, my interest in a subject is directly linked to how well I do, so I try to help students find some genuine interest in what they are learning, rather than seeing it only as a set of exam requirements.
I know that Maths, Physics, and Programming can feel intimidating when the underlying ideas are not clear, but they become much more manageable once the logic behind them starts to make sense. I enjoy helping students reach that point where a difficult topic finally clicks.
As a tutor, I aim to be patient, focused, and honest. I want students to feel comfortable asking basic questions, while also being challenged enough to make real progress, and feel gratified in doing so.

My tutoring focuses on helping students understand ideas properly rather than memorising isolated methods. I break problems down step by step, identify gaps in understanding, and help students build confidence with exam-style questions.
Lessons are adapted to the student’s needs, whether that means revisiting core concepts, working through difficult homework, improving mathematical fluency, preparing for exams, or learning programming fundamentals in Python. I usually offer 1-hour lessons, but I can adjust the length and intensity depending on the student.
I tutor GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics, introductory Python programming, and selected Decision Maths topics such as algorithms, graph theory, networks, linear programming, and optimisation. I have previous experience supporting a student with autism and ADHD, so I am comfortable adapting my explanations, pace, and lesson structure to suit different learning needs.
