About Cassidy

My Physics lessons are designed to be interactive, practical, and full of discovery. I focus on making electromagnetism, circuits, waves, and even introductory quantum physics easy to understand and exciting. Complex concepts come alive through interactive simulations and real-world examples. Together, we build virtual circuits to see electricity in action and explore light phenomena with hands-on experiments. I use clear visuals and demonstrations to help students grasp waves, fields, and particle behaviour. Topics like interference, diffraction, and electromagnetic induction are connected directly to the technology and gadgets used in everyday life. Each lesson highlights the real-world relevance of physics, showing how it underpins devices, engineering, and innovations. I guide students step by step, helping them understand principles and apply them confidently. My teaching is supportive, patient, and tailored to each learner’s pace. Lessons are designed to spark excitement while building long-term scientific skills. By the end, learners gain both conceptual clarity and practical insight. Every session equips them to excel in studies, projects, and future technological challenges, fostering confident, capable, and curious physicists.

I am a Physics tutor with over 8 years of experience and hold an MSc in Medical Physics. My expertise lies in integrating fundamental physics with materials science, with a focus on defects and phase transitions. I help students understand how microscopic phenomena govern the macroscopic behaviour of materials. In my lessons, I simplify complex topics such as crystal defects, grain boundaries, diffusion, and phase diagrams using clear visual examples. For example, steel phase diagrams are explored not just as theoretical plots but as practical tools to predict and control material properties. I emphasise real-world applications, showing how these concepts are vital in engineering, technology, and advanced materials research. I have guided both university students and researchers aiming to deepen their understanding of engineered materials. My approach combines theory with hands-on examples, visual simulations, and case studies to make learning engaging and practical. Lessons may cover point defects, diffusion mechanisms, or how grain boundaries affect mechanical strength and durability. By connecting microscopic structures to material performance, I help students develop analytical skills and scientific intuition. Each session is designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence. My goal is to cultivate well-rounded physicists who understand the microscopic origins of macroscopic material behaviour. With my guidance, learners gain not only knowledge but also the ability to apply physics to real-world challenges.
