Methodology
My goal in teaching is to meet student's individual needs, as these can vary between casual hobbyist to auditioning for music schools. In singing, I will give my students tools to communicate effectively and efficiently throughout their vocal range. In piano, I will guide my students both to read music more effectively and to connect with the instrument in a way that produces moving music.
Background
I have been teaching piano and voice lessons for over 5 years to students from a wide variety of backgrounds. I currently teach part time at a small University. I have a considerable amount of performing experience that informs my teaching. This includes opera productions, pit orchestras, musical theatre, choral accompanying, choral directing, and solo singing. (concealed information)
