About Chris
I took piano lessons for eleven years from a concert pianist. I began teaching, with my teacher's permission at the age of 15. I also studied with a Van Cliburn contest winner for a while.
I have taught hundreds of students through the years, from beginners to advanced.

I closely adhere to the methods taught to me by the concert pianists I studied with. For beginners I start from scratch, with note reading, basic music theory, scales and exercises and simple piano literature.
For students with previous experience, intermediate and more advanced students, I teach correct practicing, how to avoid frustrating bad habits, as well as deciding on the literature and technique necessary for the student to advance.
