About Raquel
Pianist, composer, songwriter and teacher.
My teaching experience is mainly with children, but I also had several students from different age groups and different levels of learning, so I feel equally comfortable with any student profile. Recently concluded my Master Degree in Jazz Composition at the Syddansk Musikkonservatorium in Denmark, preceded by a Bachelor in Jazz Piano by Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa.
(But apart from the degrees, the best qualification I truly have is that I really love teaching.)

The classes are aimed at any level of learning and age.
The contents to be addressed and the methodology used will vary depending on the specific needs of each student. However, I consider essential, along with the development of instrumental technique, to transmit knowledge of theory, ear training, rhythm, reading and improvisation so that the student can develop his musical skills in a more complete and comprehensive way. With regard to genre / style, my training is in the area of jazz and improvised music. Even so, I insist on addressing different musical styles in class, later on meeting those that best suit the student's profile and personal taste.

Perfect! Great teacher for beginners/ kids - our 7 year old daughter is every week looking forward to the lesson. Raquel brings a great mix of different exercises and is so patient and kind. Totally recommendable!
