About Sarah

I started learning piano in second grade and was trained classically for the next 6 years. At that point, I began to be introduced to the world of chords through playing in the worship band at my church. Over the past 6 years, I have honed my skills in the context of a band and have even had the opportunity to compose and record several songs as a pianist. I have a passion for training students to not only read and enjoy classical music, but to also grasp the world of music through music theory and chords to be able to improvise and create their own music in a way that makes them happy!

About the lesson

Using a tried and true base curriculum, you will learn how to play piano using three different focuses: technique, introducing new aspects of music, and learning to perform. I will walk you through both the classical and Nashville-style of piano playing to make you a well-rounded musician who can go far! I begin teaching students around age 4-6, depending on their reading level, and some of my most successful students are adults. We will analyze your personal goals as a musician and tailor your lessons to your aspirations and your way of learning. I am excited to share my love of music with you and walk through your musical journey together!
