About Helena

I started teaching in 2011. Vocal/Piano coaching sessions are tailored to suit the individual's goals and abilities. I am an enthusiastic, outgoing and creative teacher and very passionate about teaching students of all ages and abilities - whether it be introducing you to the joy of music for the first time, or helping to develop your existing skills to the next level. Since 2011 I have taught more than 55 students.

(2005 - 2012) Songwriting online course at Berklee University (2013) Musical theatre with Evelina Pappoulia in Athens, Greece (2008) The Vocal sessions can cover: Vocal Health & Technique Breathing, Posture & Support Power, Projection Articulation & Diction Vocal Colour, Tone and Musicality Performance Coaching (stage presence, stage fright, improving confidence, storytelling) Music Theory Entrance exam & audition preparation Repertoire building - variety of styles musical theatre, jazz, pop, rock, folk, soul, blues, funk Microphone Technique Freeing up the voice Extending vocal range Conquering pitch and rhythm issues Smoothing out the transition between chest voice and head voice Developing your mix

Perfect! For our wedding, we decided to sing and play the piano at the same time. Six weeks before the wedding, we found Helena on Superprof. We had around eight online music lessons with her (about once a week). By the end of the lessons, we had improved significantly and on the wedding day the guests loved our music performance. We couldn’t have done that without Helena. She is very communicative, kind and fun to learn from. Most importantly, she loves her job. Her enthusiasm for music is inspiring. She makes us want to learn more and improve! Helena is a wonderful piano and singing teacher. We highly recommend her.

Helena helped my daughter in preparation for her end of term performance at school.
We booked 5 lessons with her and the results were great! The performance went down excellently and our daughter was completely comfortable with the songs she had struggled with to begin with.

- £55 for a full-hour session, plus £5 for travel expenses if you live far from me. - For Online sessions: My internet connection is very reliable and fast, which facilitates the sessions!
Since the pandemic, most students prefer to continue with online lessons only. This might be the right option for you, too.
