About Matilda
Do you ever wish you could play the songs stuck in your head? I spend my days helping teens and adult hobbyists turn their favorite tracks into reality.
My 13 years of teaching have taught me that music works best when it is an integrated skill set. I earned my BM in Popular Music from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. This academic foundation combines with my online studio setup to keep things efficient. My students often come to me after trying to teach themselves for far too long.
I focus on posture and hand position from the start to prevent habits that hinder progress. Seeing a student finally connect their listening taste to their playing is why I enjoy this work so much.

100 percent of my instruction is delivered through a high-definition multi-mic studio setup. These lessons move fast because we treat sight playing and ear training as essential tools rather than chores. You can expect focused work on ABRSM or Trinity exam prep if that is your goal. I utilize sight transposition to help you understand how music sits on the keyboard across any key.
Accompaniment skills are integrated into every session to ensure you sound like a complete musician. A progress tracker is shared with parents every month to keep everyone on the same page. You will walk away from these sessions with a clear plan for your week ahead.
