About Kaia
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy after years of studying keyboard performance, music education, and collaborative musicianship during my academic training. During the past 13 years, I have worked with students from many different backgrounds and skill levels, helping them improve through supportive guidance and carefully planned lessons. Teaching piano allows me to combine communication, creativity, and structured musical instruction in a rewarding way. I enjoy helping learners discover that music can become both expressive and empowering with the right support.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, adaptability, and balanced musical growth. Some students improve best through organized technical exercises and repetition, while others respond more naturally to creative exploration and improvisation. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s personality, confidence level, and musical interests. Along with technical development, I help students strengthen listening skills, rhythm awareness, expressive interpretation, and performance confidence. Building a welcoming and motivating learning environment remains very important to me.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing piano, exploring different musical styles, and studying creative educational methods that help keep my lessons engaging and fresh. Music remains an important part of my daily life because it encourages emotional expression, discipline, and artistic growth. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students become more comfortable and confident with their musical abilities over time. Helping learners enjoy music while developing lasting piano skills continues to inspire me greatly.

My piano lessons help students develop strong musical understanding while enjoying a comfortable and encouraging learning experience. I teach rhythm accuracy, note reading, finger independence, hand coordination, chord patterns, and expressive playing using practical exercises that feel simple and engaging for learners at every level. Lessons also include sight-reading activities, listening exercises, duet playing, improvisation practice, and creative rhythm training that help students improve naturally over time. I create a calm learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence step by step. Every lesson balances technical development with creativity and musical enjoyment.
Beginners receive patient guidance with posture, keyboard familiarity, simple melodies, and timing exercises that create healthy foundational habits. Intermediate learners improve reading fluency, pedal control, expressive phrasing, and smoother coordination between both hands through organized studies and guided practice. Advanced students focus on dynamic shaping, emotional interpretation, performance preparation, and advanced repertoire refinement through detailed coaching. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s learning pace, confidence level, and musical goals so progress remains balanced and motivating throughout the learning process.
Learning piano should feel inspiring and personally meaningful. I encourage students to enjoy steady growth while developing confidence through supportive feedback and regular practice. Many learners become more expressive and independent as their musical abilities continue improving over time. My goal is to help students strengthen technical skill while also building a lasting connection with music. Every lesson supports creativity, discipline, and long-term musical development.
