About Kai
"I began my path playing piano simply to better understand the violin. Formal study through the diploma level eventually transformed my relationship with the keyboard.
I have since taught 141 students across many different skill levels. My Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music serves as the base for all my instruction. I cater to adults and grade exam candidates who value steady improvement. Working with hobbyists is one of the most rewarding parts of my daily life."

"You will find that the best music emerges when your hands feel completely at home on the keys. My online lessons utilize a split screen setup so you can observe my hand shape and posture from multiple angles at once. We break down complex topics like chord voicing, jazz improvisation, and pop and contemporary styles. I bring 13 years of experience to help you master rhythm and timing while using proven memorization techniques.
You might notice that ear training becomes much easier once your hand position is stable. I assign weekly practice modules with every class to ensure your progress remains consistent between sessions. These modules keep your goals clear while we study posture and hand position.
