About Preston
Jazz improvisation and sight transposition are fundamental tools for any pianist. I remember sitting at the piano bench in Nice where I began my journey into music.
My MMus from Manhattan School of Music informs how I teach hand independence and chord voicing. I enjoy helping students master memorization techniques and complex sight reading. My 13 years of experience support 453 students currently.

Music is a language that demands consistent application of theory to the keyboard. Thinking about the connection between the ear and the fingers is central to my methodology. I believe that 13 years of experience allows for a unique perspective on technique. Sight reading is essential.
Chord voicing matters. I bring my MMus background into every single moment. Weekly practice modules are assigned with every class to ensure progress. It is satisfying to see the music come alive.
