About Poppy
My passion for piano began with a deep interest in harmony, structure, and emotional expression in music. I completed a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and have 8 years of teaching experience. I have worked with students of different ages and levels, helping them grow through structured and supportive instruction. Teaching piano allows me to combine discipline with creativity.
I enjoy helping students build both technical skill and musical sensitivity. My teaching approach is structured but flexible, allowing steady progress for each learner. I focus on clear understanding and step-by-step improvement. Every student is encouraged to express themselves through music.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing and exploring piano repertoire. These experiences help me bring variety and depth into my lessons. Watching students grow into confident musicians is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

My piano lessons focus on helping students build strong technical foundations while developing musical expression. I teach finger independence, hand coordination, sight reading, rhythm accuracy, chord understanding, scales, dynamics, articulation, and expressive phrasing. Each topic is explained step by step so students can understand clearly and apply it with confidence. Lessons are structured to support steady progress without confusion or pressure.
Students are guided based on their level and learning goals. Beginners focus on note reading, simple rhythms, hand position, and easy melodies. Intermediate learners develop coordination, fluency, musical expression, and stronger reading skills. Advanced students work on interpretation, technical refinement, performance preparation, and stylistic development. Students interested in accompaniment or duet playing also receive structured support. Continuous feedback ensures consistent improvement.
Learning piano should feel enjoyable and motivating. My lessons create a calm and supportive environment where students can learn at their own pace. As confidence grows, learners become more expressive and comfortable with music. My goal is to help every student build strong piano skills while enjoying the learning process.
