About Cleo
My passion for piano began as a child, captivated by its versatility and expressive power. Over nine years of teaching, I have helped students of all ages and abilities discover their musical voice while building technical mastery. Watching learners grow in confidence, skill, and creativity remains the most fulfilling aspect of my work. I teach with patience, adaptability, and encouragement, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals, pace, and interests. I emphasize both technical skill and musical expression, integrating practice routines, improvisation, and performance opportunities to ensure steady progress. Lessons are designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, creating a positive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated. Outside teaching, I perform in ensembles, compose music, and explore new repertoire to bring fresh ideas into lessons. Teaching piano allows me to share the joy, discipline, and creative power of music while helping students develop skills, confidence, and lifelong appreciation for the instrument.

Piano lessons are a journey in technique, creativity, and emotional expression. My classes are designed to help students build solid technical foundations while exploring their personal musical voice. Each session combines structured exercises, repertoire study, and creative exploration, fostering both skill and enjoyment. I emphasize technique, sight-reading, and expressive playing, helping students engage deeply with music while nurturing a lifelong appreciation for the instrument.
Beginners focus on posture, hand positioning, basic note reading, and rhythm, learning simple pieces that motivate and inspire. Intermediate students develop finger strength, articulation, and phrasing while exploring classical and contemporary repertoire, improvisation, and stylistic interpretation. Advanced learners refine musicality, dynamics, performance readiness, and complex repertoire, with guidance on ensemble playing, competitions, or recitals.
Ear training, composition, and theory are integrated throughout to create well-rounded musicianship. Students often describe lessons as motivating, challenging, and rewarding. My goal is to help learners not only master technical skills but also develop confidence, creativity, and expressive freedom, creating a deep and lasting connection with music.
