About Aanya

I am a piano instructor with 10 years of teaching experience and a B.Mus in Piano Performance. My background includes classical training combined with modern teaching approaches that make piano learning accessible and enjoyable. Over the years, I have guided students of various ages and abilities toward technical competence and expressive confidence through supportive instruction. My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, clarity, and adaptability. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to individual needs and learning styles. Beginners receive structured guidance and encouragement, while intermediate and advanced students are challenged with thoughtful goals that promote artistic growth. I focus on helping students understand not just how to play, but why music sounds and feels the way it does. Outside of teaching, I remain actively involved in music through practice, repertoire exploration, and performance study. Teaching piano is deeply fulfilling because I witness students transform uncertainty into confidence and musical expression. Supporting learners as they discover their musical voice is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

About the lesson

Piano lessons become meaningful when students learn to balance technical accuracy with expressive interpretation. My lessons focus on developing proper posture, hand coordination, finger strength, rhythm awareness, sight-reading, and musical phrasing. Beginners are guided gently through basic note reading, hand positioning, and simple melodies to build confidence and familiarity with the instrument. Intermediate learners work on scale fluency, chord progressions, dynamic control, and stylistic interpretation across classical and contemporary pieces. Advanced students refine articulation, tempo control, advanced repertoire, and performance readiness. Each lesson is structured yet flexible, allowing students to progress at a comfortable pace.

Lessons are adapted to each learner’s level and goals. Beginners receive step-by-step guidance and repetition to establish strong fundamentals. Intermediate students focus on technical refinement, musical expression, and independent practice strategies. Advanced learners develop interpretive depth, technical precision, and performance confidence. Exercises include warm-ups, repertoire practice, rhythmic drills, and guided listening to strengthen musical understanding. Feedback is clear, encouraging, and focused on steady improvement.

Through piano study, students develop discipline, patience, and artistic awareness. Many learners gain improved concentration, emotional expression, and confidence that extends beyond music. My goal is to help students enjoy the learning process while building a strong technical and expressive foundation that supports lifelong musical growth.
