About Floyd

I am Floyd Santimano, a musician, music educator and founder of Floyd Music Academy in Goa.

I have been teaching music for many years and have trained students in piano, keyboard, guitar, vocals, music theory, performance preparation and creative musicianship.

My work as a music educator combines structured learning with creativity. I help students build strong musical foundations, understand theory practically, develop good practice habits and perform with confidence.

I teach piano, keyboard and jazz piano to children, teenagers and adults. Whether you are a complete beginner, a parent looking for music lessons for your child, an adult restarting music, or a student preparing for graded exams, I can guide you step by step.

My lessons are suitable for:

As the founder of Floyd Music Academy, I bring both classroom teaching experience and one-to-one mentoring experience into every lesson.

My goal is simple: to help students learn music with clarity, discipline, creativity and confidence.

About the lesson

My piano and keyboard lessons are designed for students who want to learn music in a clear, practical and enjoyable way.

I teach beginners, intermediate learners, adult learners, school students, hobby musicians and serious students who want to improve their playing, music theory, ear training, rhythm, chords, improvisation and performance confidence.

My lessons can include:

• Piano and keyboard fundamentals
• Finger exercises and technique
• Chords, scales and rhythm
• Music theory made simple
• Reading staff notation
• Ear training
• Trinity / ABRSM preparation
• Jazz piano basics
• Chord voicings
• Improvisation
• Popular songs and performance pieces

For jazz piano students, I focus on understanding chords, progressions, swing feel, left-hand/right-hand coordination, comping, improvisation and practical application.

My teaching style is structured but flexible. I do not believe in only giving songs to copy. I help students understand music so they can become independent and confident players.

Lessons are available online and can be customised according to the student’s age, level and goals.
