About Heidi
I am an experienced musician, teacher, counselor and performer; I hold a Master's Degree in Human Development Counseling Studies from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. I have also performed in bands and have an album on iTunes under my stage name, “Ilona Sky”, titled “Sorrow’s Awakening”. You can find my videos and musical library on YouTube and SoundCloud—I love all genres! I enjoy covering my favorite classic rock by bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Tool, Deftones, Allman Brothers, Johnny Cash and too many to list! I was inducted as a Faculty Research Fellow by Dr. Jonathan Kenigson of the Quadrivium at the University of Cambridge—a private think tank that specializes in Music, Mathematics, Philosophy and Quantum Physics. I designed a psycho-educational class for pre-schoolers, parents, and teachers titled “Planting the Seeds of Ecological Awareness Through Music, Art, and Mindfulness”—and a music intervention for individuals diagnosed with Substance Use Disorders (in memory of musician friends who died of overdose) during graduate school. I launched a “Recovery Rocks” band with patients at the largest opioid addiction treatment clinic in the USA in Nashville, Tennessee—providing relief from addiction offering a sanctuary during the COVID pandemic. I love nature, my rescue animals and gardening; I am the proprietor of a family business, The Museum of Lost Art, which is a virtual museum featuring a vast collection of works in every style, subject and medium. I have volunteered for the Wounded Warrior Project—providing music, art & mindset training for our heroes who sustained injuries while serving in active duty. I am the mother of a son—and enjoy living a tranquil life—working in my gardens, hiking trails with my border collie, and spending time at the beach. I am addicted to singing karaoke in my free time—I find it to be a wonderful stress relief. My philosophy of life endeavors is quite simple: Trying fails; awareness cures. I am a tree-hugging, empathetic person who fights for the vulnerable members of our society and their families—in an attempt to help them escape from the pain of trauma and addiction.

Pre-licensed master's level substance abuse counseling services tailored to your specific needs! I am a classically trained professional pianist who is skilled in providing individualized private piano lessons; we will cover music theory, composition, sight reading, ear training, note reading, technique and artistry, and improvisation. In addition, I offer mindset training, mindfulness activities and therapeutic music interventions. Neuroscientists have discovered that reading music—specifically piano, can heal neurons damaged in our brain from traumatic brain injury, substance abuse, or other disorders. Singing for 5-10 minutes per day can release four different “feel good” chemicals in the brain. I am devoted to exploring new pathways to recovery and trauma through music, art & mindfulness. Not only will you become a skilled musician—you will learn mental techniques that will help you cope with any adverse experiences you encounter. I will provide you with tools to create a new life—free of addiction, in a pleasant, private remote environment. What are you waiting for?
