About Valiko

I am Dr. Valentina Nenasheva, a concert pianist and dedicated music educator with over 20 years of experience in classical performance and teaching. I began my training at the renowned Central Music School “Uspenski” in Tashkent and continued my advanced studies across Europe, including the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg and doctoral studies under Professor Kemal Gekić. As a stipendist of the Pro Corda Chamber Music School in the UK, under the auspices of a professor from the Royal Academy of Music. There, I had the opportunity to work with distinguished musicians such as James Kirby, Robert Max, and Itzhak Rashkovsky. Through these collaborations and my experience with chamber ensembles, I developed a refined orchestral approach to the piano — treating it as a full-bodied, expressive instrument capable of imitating the complexity and color of an entire ensemble. Later, I was accepted into the class of Professor Ivan Gajan at the Academy of Music Arts in Bratislava, whose mentorship—rooted in the sophisticated tonal tradition of the Russian school, as he was a student of Stanislav Neuhaus—deeply shaped my artistic voice and tonal sensitivity. Throughout my career, I have performed as both a soloist and chamber musician, collaborating with renowned artists and ensembles, including the Valmaro Trio. In addition to performing, I am deeply committed to teaching and have been a faculty member at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad for the past 16 years, where I currently teach accompaniment at the Piano Department. Many of my students have gone on to perform and study around the world, including in China, Austria, and the United States, continuing their musical journey with confidence and success. My lessons focus on developing solid technique, musical expression, and self-confidence. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, I offer a personalized and inspiring approach to help you grow as a pianist and musician.
