About Sue
As I've stated I have a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy, (teaching piano) from Webster University in St Louis, Mo and have been teaching over 30 years. I've taught group lessons in both piano and music in general at preschools, day cares, and music stores. I've also subbed in music at a private school , grades K-8 for many months and prepared all grades for end of school year performances. I have 2 recitals a year because I think it's important to have something to work toward as well as being exposed to other students. It's great and very encouraging to see how other students are progressing as well as yourself.

I love music and want my students to also love it and LEARN it! My music degree is in Piano Pedagogy, but I have taught music at private school, preschools and privately. I have 2 recitals a year so students can showcase what they've learned and their progress. I also have incentives (especially for the younger kiddos) to spur them on to keep progressing. I do include music theory in my teaching because it is vital for students to understand why they're learning what they're learning. My goal for my students is for them to be able to pick up any piece of music (in their level) and figure out how to play it on their own.
