About Ruth
With 6 years of experience teaching piano, I have guided students from schools, colleges, and professional backgrounds. My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, creativity, and adapting lessons to each student’s unique learning style. I strive to make lessons enjoyable, meaningful, and productive, helping students build technical skills, musical understanding, and expressive playing. My teaching approach focuses on compassion, understanding, and strong communication. I aim to make piano lessons enjoyable and stress-free. I teach piano fundamentals such as posture, finger technique, rhythm, and reading notes in a simple and organised way. Lessons are adjusted based on the student’s comfort and progress. I maintain open communication during lessons. I listen carefully to students’ needs and provide clear feedback and encouragement. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, and basic improvisation. These related subjects help students grow as complete musicians. I also help students develop regular practice habits. My supportive teaching style helps students stay motivated and confident.
