About Coco

I am a dedicated piano tutor with 21 years of playing experience and the highest-level Chinese Piano Grade 10 certification. With 7 years of teaching experience, I have guided students from age 4 to adults, helping them learn confidently whether for enjoyment or exam preparation. I strive to create patient, encouraging and structured lessons tailored to each student’s goals.

About the lesson

My teaching approach
I focus on creating enjoyable and motivating piano lessons that balance interest-based learning with exam-oriented progress. For students who want to pursue AMEB or Chinese graded exams, I provide structured guidance, technique training, and clear practice plans. For students who simply want to learn for fun, I design flexible and musical lessons that encourage creativity and confidence.

A typical lesson is 30 minutes/kid and 45-60 minutes/adult, allowing enough time for warm-up, technique, repertoire, and feedback without overwhelming younger learners.

I have 21 years of piano experience, hold the Chinese Piano Level 10 (highest level) certificate, and have 7 years of teaching experience covering students of all ages—from 4-year-olds to adult beginners. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s goals, whether they aim to build solid foundations, prepare for exams, or enjoy music at their own pace.

My lessons are suitable for beginners to intermediate players, children and adults alike.

Perfect! Coco is a lovely tutor. She is friendly, patient and very encouraging for my 8 year old. She covered theory step by step and then inspired more interest through learning a simple song which my son felt great about learning. Thanks Coco!

William is the most clever student I have ever seen, he can get what I mean very quickly and he has a very good memory, he is definitely a talented kid and it’s worth investing in music for his future. I enjoy the lesson with him and hope to accompany him in his piano learning journey!
