About Jim
The students that I have engaged find me to be a positive and engaging teacher. I taught in the Chicago Public Schools system for over 35 years. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise with students. I am dependable and responsible. I have a lot of patience so do not worry if you are a frustrated learner you will enjoy your lesson and time and become more proficient and have fun. Playing guitar is a journey well worth the effort!

I am passionate about music, play in two different bands, and enjoy working with beginning students.Playing guitar is an exciting and extremely fun way to enjoy time. I believe every student can discover the joys of playing guitar. I am retired and can usually make time for lessons.
