About Clifton
My name is Clifton Powell Jr., a former Division I basketball player at UC Santa Barbara. Having competed at a high level and trained alongside professional and NBA-caliber players, I understand what it takes to elevate your game. I specialize in scoring, athletic development, basketball IQ, and building confidence on the court. Whether you’re just starting out or preparing for the next level, my goal is to help you develop skills that translate into real game success.

Basketball has taken me all over the country and taught me lessons that go far beyond the game. I played Division I basketball at UC Santa Barbara after being ranked among the top players in California and later one of the top players in South Carolina. 
My specialty is scoring in every way possible—shooting, finishing, creating off the dribble, footwork, and developing a complete offensive game. I also believe basketball instinct can be developed. Some players are naturally gifted, but with the right training, film study, and repetition, you can sharpen your feel for the game and make better decisions faster.
As an athlete, I was known for my explosiveness and had a 44-inch vertical. My goal is to help players build confidence, improve their skill set, and understand the game at a higher level. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to play at the next level, I’ll help you become a smarter, more complete basketball player
