About Kristof

Learn Polish with confidence — from a qualified, experienced and professionally trained teacher.

I teach Polish as a Foreign Language to children, teenagers and adults at all levels, from complete beginner A1 to advanced C2. My lessons are practical, engaging and carefully adapted to each learner’s goals, whether you want Polish for holidays, relocation, work, everyday life in Poland, family communication, studies or professional purposes such as the nostrification of a medical diploma.

My teaching philosophy is based on the most effective use of language in real communication. I developed this approach through my academic background in Conference Interpreting at London Metropolitan University, where I studied the professional use of working languages. In interpreting, your strongest language is your A language, usually your native language, and your main professional foreign language is your B language. This principle helped me shape my own teaching method: I teach from a position of real linguistic strength, cultural knowledge and professional language awareness.

As a native Polish speaker with a strong connection to Polish history, culture and everyday communication, and as a near-native English speaker educated in the UK, I can explain Polish clearly, naturally and effectively to English-speaking learners. I understand the challenges students face when learning Polish and I know how to make difficult grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary easier to understand and use.

I hold a university diploma in Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language from one of Poland’s leading institutions in this field. This qualification confirms the quality and professionalism of my teaching. I also have hundreds of hours of experience teaching Polish and designing complete language programmes for individual learners and groups.

I create, find and adapt high-quality teaching materials from authentic and reliable sources. I also have experience preparing advanced materials for higher levels, including C1, where ready-made resources are often limited. My lessons combine clear explanation, guided speaking practice, real-life vocabulary, grammar made simple and modern educational technology, so the learning process is structured, effective and never boring.

I teach individual students as well as groups from 2 to 20 learners, including mixed-language groups and one-language groups. I can design a complete course package depending on your needs, for example Polish for travel, Polish for relocation, Polish for business, Polish for life in Poland or specialist Polish for medical professionals.

I am also accredited to take part in assessment boards for State Certificate Examinations in Polish as a Foreign Language and accredited to teach Polish as a second or foreign language through international programmes and institutions, including NAWA-related contexts.

I offer professional Polish lessons for foreign learners at all levels, from A1 to C2. Whether you need Polish for holidays, relocation, work, everyday life in Poland or professional recognition of your qualifications, I can design a personalised course that matches your goals.

I have hundreds of hours of teaching experience and I create engaging lessons using authentic materials, reliable sources and modern educational technology.

My lessons are practical, well-structured and focused on real communication. I teach children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to advanced learners who want to improve their fluency, accuracy and confidence.

Lessons usually last 60 minutes, with 30-minute, 45-minute or 90-minute options available depending on the learner’s age, level, goals and concentration span.

I work with individual students, small groups and larger groups, including mixed-language and one-language groups.
