About Brian
I have over 20 years of professional experience as a foreign affairs, officer and pilot in the US Air Force. I have a PhD in Political Science and International Affairs from UC San Diego, MBA in International Business from the University of Nebraska, and a BS from the US Air Force Academy. I also have to Masters degrees in military arts and science. I’m highly proficient in Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese and studied as a Fulbright scholar in Hong Kong

Political Science, international relations, foreign area studies, Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese – – I love teaching them all! I’ve taught each of these subjects at UC San Diego, the US Air Force Academy, and assisted in High School and Elementary School classrooms. I’m also a professional pilot instructor and am skilled at breaking down complex topics to a level that is understandable to the learner. Hope to come along on your learning adventure!

Perfect! I had the opportunity to take private geopolitics lessons with Brian for one year (October 2024 – November 2025). He greatly enhanced my theoretical background in international affairs through a hands-on approach, connecting current global trends with my daily work.
