About Fatima

Hello!

I hope you are well!

My name is Fatima and I offer private tuition for History, Politics and Philosophy A-Levels and English, History, Politics, RE at GCSE level. I operate in both London and Luton however this is subject to my availability. Please contact me for more information on location and travel.

I achieved AAA in History (Edexcel), Government & Politics (Edexcel) and Philosophy (AQA) A-Levels.

I now study Politics and International Relations BSc at University College London (UCL).

During my gap year I worked as an Academic Improvement Mentor in the fields of Politics, History and Psychology at Luton Sixth Form College. My everyday routine consisted of tutoring A-Level students in both one-to-one and group settings.

As well as this, I worked as the Co-ordinator for the Advanced Learning Programme for High Achievers (ALPHA) and therefore have experience with non-academic mentoring. Part of my role as Co-ordinator was to help high achievers hone their interpersonal (soft) skills, confidence and self-belief.

Finally, I also offer guidance with personal statement writing and have conducted several interview practice sessions in preparation for Oxbridge and other university interviews.

About the lesson

My teaching methods are largely based upon tried and tested methods that I have personal experience with but also what you tell me about how you like to revise and your learning preferences. There are many methods of study and I want to gauge what works best for you as an individual!

Following initial discussions about what you hope to achieve by the end of our time working together, we will work out what study plans and revision aids you would most likely benefit from.

FIRST ONE HOUR LESSON FREE!

I charge £25.00 per hour for GCSE revision sessions and £30.00 per hour for A-level revision sessions. Both of these rates fall well below national average rates.
Online (webcam) tutoring sessions are available but we will need to discuss this first.
