About Fred
I want to teach because I know the demands of A levels and the demands of being a student very well. After my GCSEs I joined a new school which meant that I had to balance my learning with new relationships and dynamics of a new school environment. I want to create an environment outside of school where students can feel comfortable to learn and understand without any thought of judgement. As well as simply just wanting to improve their chances of getting a good grade in their exams, because it's good to see students succeed.

The goal of lessons varies from student to student but to pin it down to 3: - Gain real world understanding and examples of their subject. - Improve exam technique and question answering. - Improve understanding of content and track that over time. These are just 3 examples, what is relevant for one student may not be relevant for another, I understand this, and that's why before lessons begin I'll take time to properly understand why they need extra tutoring/lessons. In terms of admin, lessons are customisable and range from 30 minutes to an hour. I've previously worked in my school as a personal tutor for younger students and 1st year A level students. So I have a unique perspective on what students truly need as I was one not too long ago.
