About Lucy
I am a student studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the end of my second year at the University of York. I have tutored GCSE maths with successful results in 2017 and have an A* in GCSE myself. I have A-level mathematics and currently study mathematics modules at university.

I approach teaching based on the individuals I am working with, having a structure for each lesson prepared on the basis of the specific skills the student needs to work on is essential for efficient learning. I am very patient and think it is important to be honest with the student on what they can expect to achieve and the amount of work they need to put in. I want them to have an enjoyable experience and feel proud of their efforts and achievements.
Ultimately I believe that it is practice questions and knowledge of exam structures and mark schemes that best enable students to get the most out of their preparation and this is what I base my teaching around.
