Polyglot with 20 years of experience teaching Spanish, Portuguese, and ESL, in Los Angeles, to people of all demographics and backgrounds. From high school students, to corporate employees, and UFC fi

Methodology

Every student has a different learning ability. Some learn by listening and speaking, some by doing it, some like grammar, some prefer grammar in context, etc. I you teach the way you like to be taught.

Background

Aperson who speaks two languages sees the world twice differently
Introductory video (concealed information)

I have been teaching Spanish, Portuguese, and ESL for 19 years to people of all ages and backgrounds, including high schools, adult schools, corporations, professional athletes (UFC), online, and homeschooling.

I have lived in France, Spanish, Brazil, Mexico, and Central America. You are going to learn the language in the most cultural way possible. I was also able to see people like me struggling to learn Γ  language and the results. You don’t have to speak like Γ  native or have perfect grammar to be understood. You can’t roll your R in Spanish? Who cares! People are still going to understand you, regardless,

But in order to be an effective teacher I had to learn teaching strategies.Just because you know the language it does not mean you are an effective teacher. I have taken many classes where I learned teaching strategies from the best foreign language teachers in California, at LASTAR. And of course I learned from colleagues and experience.

I love what I do and it’s contagious

The fun part of the language is to speak it. Especially in the beginning levels, grammar should be taught in context, putting more emphasis on speaking, through games, songs, roll-plays,etc.

I enjoy grammar, but I am a language geek and not everyone is like me.

And I make my lessons tailored to your needs to speak the languages. I related the lesson to your life

I have passed the praxis Spanish certification, and have taken pedagogy classes. I'm looking to teach privately or small groups.

My goal is to teach according to the student's learning abilities, using strategies that require years of experience teaching, and attending workshops...because not every student learns the same way.
Obrigado

Portuguese, Spanish, and ESL.

I learned different languages for myself, but its priceless when you go to a different country and understand the language.
