About Manuel
I'm a bilingual educator and artist with a B.A. in Media Studies from Pomona College and an A.S.-T in Agriculture Business from Bakersfield College. My background blends creative production, academic research, and student mentorship. As a Mellon Mays Fellow and independent filmmaker, I’ve honed skills in storytelling, critical analysis, and inclusive teaching. I offer tutoring in English and Spanish (beginner to advanced), support with writing and editing, and college application guidance. Whether helping with grammar, essays, or creative projects, I create thoughtful, collaborative spaces where students feel confident, heard, and motivated to grow.
