About Charounda
Adapting a complex chart into something you can play right now is my main priority. It happens that I love to take your specific song requests and turn them into simplified arrangements that match your skill level.
I taught 145 students and found that everyone needs a different starting point. My lessons are built on a mix of theory and play.
Listen. We use my experience with songwriting to help you understand how music is constructed. I focus on the basics of rhythm and posture to keep your technique sharp. Returning learners often need a new lens to view their practice.

The smell of rosin and old strings is where I feel most at home. I hold a BM in Popular Music from UdeM and have spent 9 years refining how to teach guitar to teens and absolute beginners. My path started with the chanson tradition and grew into a deep love for Québécois folk music.
I share this by teaching strumming patterns and rhythm guitar alongside the basics of reading sheet music. Electric technique and ear training are just as important as knowing your way around a fretboard. Maintenance and tuning are part of the process, not just chores to get through. I look forward to hearing the songs you want to play on your own terms.
