About the lesson

I've been working as a teacher of Portuguese for 20 years, giving private classes to individuals, and working for language school groups. I provide individual classes at a normal and intensive pace as well. I'm offering affordable practical and communicative lessons where you learn what you need. In this efficient method, you can expect to have a great control of Portuguese within months.

In my classes I do my best for people to learn how to communicate and use the language in a practical way. At all levels possible, the most important thing for a foreigner when it comes to learn Portuguese is to be able to express themselves appropriately. This is something that I help my students overcome, pointing out subtle difference between words, giving advice on how to take control over the language, how to use phrasal verbs, idioms, and other similar expressions. Being a perfectionist, I intend to bring the best out of all my pupils, be it in groups or individuals, by providing an efficient, time-saving and affordable way to learn and study Portuguese.

Currently, I provide one-to-one online classes to individuals. Students ask for private classes because they need a personalised way to improve as efficiently and quickly as possible. In my classes, you will get a lot of material to work with on your own and in class, we would spend most of the time doing activities for which you need a teacher for. Strong focus is put on your communicative and speaking skills along with intensive vocabulary building, listening comprehesion improvements, and tips to learn how to write properly. My approach tries to see you, the student, as a person that needs to communicate and socialise in Portuguese, therefore, it will equip you with hints about words and expressions, and advice on how to get by in general.

I can offer you the best teaching by an educated, native-speaking tutor. With my online teaching method, you will be able to write and speak ‘live’ with me using Skype from your home or office or anywhere else in the world.

With me you will learn something especially valuable: to speak or write simply and naturally. And to learn this is to learn all: it is to learn to be a winner in the communication game of life.
