About Catia

I am a biomedical scientist who loves to travel and meet new cultures and people.

I have spoken English since I was ten years old, and more recently, I learned Chinese in the Universidade do Porto for two years with a native teacher.

So, I know how hard can it be to learn a new language, but I´m here to make the classes fun.

About the lesson

I teach students according to their goals and expectations in a one hour class, and I explain in English to both native and non-native English speakers.

I taught sciences to young students from 5 to 10 years old and adults while I was travelling.
So, if you want that your kids learn a new language, that is the best time to maximize their potential.

I will do my best that you’ll speak Portuguese from your very first class. And if you are interested, I can also teach you some cultural aspects.

My classes are mainly conversational and writing/ listening as homework.

You may book your first lesson for free.
So, lets start? (Então, vamos começar?)

Perfect! We’re still in the very beginning of our classes, but so far, Cátia has been a wonderful teacher to my 6 year old child. She is very friendly, patient and methodical.
