About Hayley
My name is Janet Are. I loved learning GCSEs maths and sciences and I’m currently studying them for A levels. I have a lot of knowledge and experience that deserves to be spread to the world. I hope to help young mine’s obtain the fullest potentials. If I can shape a young future and improve their skills and love in the sciences I’ve done my job.

My sessions are broken down into 1 hour - 2 hour slots. These slots are broken down into teaching the topic for roughly 30 minutes depending on the topic, the student's understanding and the importance of the topic in the foundation of the understanding of the subject. After my session consists of Exam style questions to check the understanding of the topic for 30 minutes, more time is given when needed. Then 20 minutes is given to marking and understanding where the student went wrong. Then a review for 10 minutes on a subject we covered last time happens, to ensure the understanding of the topic retained in the last session is drilled in the long term memory. Then the last 30 minutes is free time for the student to show me any individual work they are struggling with.
My approach is building a strong foundation that will stand when learning new topics. I teach through analogies and real life examples. I’ve learnt being able to attach broad concepts to tangible examples helps in long term retainment.
