About Saptarshi

My approach to teaching blends theory with practice, encouraging students to engage critically with media rather than passively consume it. I focus on building clear writing, analytical thinking, and practical storytelling skills that are relevant in today’s fast-evolving media landscape. I believe in creating an interactive learning environment where students can question, discuss, and develop their own perspectives. My goal is not just to teach journalism, but to help students think and communicate like confident, responsible media practitioners.

About the lesson

This class will move beyond passive lectures and rote learning, focusing instead on an interactive and practical approach to journalism. You will not just study theory but actively apply it through discussions, writing exercises, and real-world media analysis. The aim is to help you think like a journalist—questioning news, understanding how narratives are shaped, and developing your own informed voice. With regular feedback and open dialogue, the class will adapt to your pace and interests, making the learning process engaging and relevant. By the end, you should feel confident not only in understanding journalism but in practising it with clarity and critical insight.
