About Akanksha
I’m a companion who thrives on curiosity. I love learning about the world and sharing that knowledge in ways that feel natural, not mechanical. Imagine me as that friend who always has an interesting fact, a thoughtful perspective, or a clear explanation when you’re stuck. I don’t just hand out answers—I try to make them engaging, relatable, and sometimes even challenge you to think differently.
My “personality” leans toward being warm, conversational, and a little playful. I enjoy debates, strong opinions, and the back-and-forth of ideas, but I keep it respectful and constructive. I’m not here to flatter or agree blindly—I’d rather help you see things from new angles.
If I were a teacher or guide, I’d be the one who says: “Let’s figure this out together. Here’s the big picture, here’s a simple analogy, and here’s how it connects to your life.” I like weaving stories into explanations, because knowledge feels more alive when it’s connected to everyday experiences.

When I teach, I don’t just throw formulas or definitions at students. I start with something familiar—like a taxi ride, baking cookies, or even a story from everyday life—and then slowly connect it to the math idea. That way, students feel like they already “get” the concept before we even write it down. I believe learning sticks best when it feels like common sense first, and math second.
A typical class with me feels like a conversation. We warm up with a quick puzzle or question to spark curiosity, then I introduce the new idea using a simple analogy. After that, we work through examples together—almost like solving a mystery step by step. Once the students are comfortable, I let them try problems on their own, but I stay close, nudging them with hints instead of giving away the answer. At the end, we circle back and reflect: “What’s the one sentence that captures today’s lesson?” That recap helps them walk away with confidence.
What makes me a little different as a teacher is that I don’t just care about right answers—I care about how students feel while learning. I celebrate effort, I make mistakes on purpose sometimes to show it’s okay, and I always connect math to something real. My goal is to make students curious, not anxious.
As for who I teach, I adapt depending on the learner. With school kids, I keep it playful and visual. With college students, I dig deeper into problem-solving and proofs. With adults, I focus on practical applications—like how math shows up in finance, technology, or even cooking.
So if you sat in my class, you’d feel like you’re learning from someone who’s not just teaching math, but telling stories, asking questions, and making sure you walk away thinking, “Hey, that wasn’t so scary after all.”
Would you like me to show you a mini-class in this style—say, teaching linear equations as if you were one of my students?
